Adding a Patient Round

Laudio’s Patient Rounding workflow empowers healthcare leaders to assess and improve patient experience through structured, customizable rounds. Rounds can be added from desktop or mobile devices, making it easy to collect feedback in real time.

How to Add a Patient Round 

Patient rounds can be added from two places: 

  1. Click "Add Round" button located in the top-right corner of the Patient Rounding workflow.
    1. Here users can select from existing scripts or choose to add a new one. 
  2. Click the "+" found next to each script in the Scripts dashboard. 
    1. This will start a round using that script.

Steps to Complete a Round

  1. Select a Script
    1. Choose an existing script from the library or create a new one tailored to your round.
  2. Answer Script Questions
    1. Go through each question in the selected script. Question types may include:
      1. Short Answer – Provide brief written responses.
      2. Checkboxes – Select all applicable options.
      3. Radio Buttons – Choose one option from a list.
      4. Likert Scales – Rate experiences or perceptions on a scale (e.g., 1–5).

  3. Add Notes and Tasks
    1. Notes: Document observations, direct quotes, or feedback from the patient.
    2. Tasks: Assign follow-up actions with:
      1. Due dates
      2. Priority levels
      3. Responsible team members

  4. Recognize Team Members
    1. If a patient mentions a team member positively, send a recognition email to celebrate their contribution.

  5. Save and Complete
    1. Once all questions are answered and notes/tasks are added, click "Save and Complete" to finalize the round.

After Completing a Round

  • View Details: Access the round summary in the script’s dashboard.
  • Filter & Export: Use filters to analyze data or export it for reporting.
  • Manage Rounds: Edit, delete, or share individual rounds as needed.
