Categories in Laudio are standardized labels that organize content across the platform. They enable consistent classification, reporting, and performance tracking aligned with organizational goals like HCAHPS and Joint Commission compliance.
Laudio offers three predefined category groups with sub-categories to enhance data insights, which are fixed based on best practices and cannot be customized by users.
Note: If the form is an organization-level InForm, the categories are set by an administrator, or a collaborator, and cannot be modified by individual users.
Steps on how to add categories to form questions are below:
- Click InForms in the left-hand navigation menu.

Select the InForm that you want to add categories to questions.
- Click Manage Questions.
- Find the question you want to categorize, then click the Select Category icon within that question.
- Choose one or more sub-categories from the predefined lists.
- Review the selected categories, which will now appear within the question.
Tip: When exporting form-level data, the column titled "Categories Applied" in the export enables sorting and locating data related to each specific category.
